Archos Saphir 50 – enhanced smartphone – PCLab.pl

Saphir 50 to work in the field. Archos has announced a new smartphone, 50 Saphir, designed so that it can handle even the most extreme conditions. Its important features include waterproof, protected display 4-level Gorilla Glass, resistant against scratches, dust and dropping. The smartphone will be demonstrated this week at the IFA in 2016.

Archos 50 Saphir is to be a companion for people working in the field, which happens to damage the smartphone during operation, and appreciate unconventional look of the phone. The new model works under the operating system Android 6.0 Marshmallow, also offering solid protection in a stylish case and a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Compliant with IP68 standard protection, Archos 50 Saphir is resistant to scratches, dust, dropping (to 1 meter), and immersion in water for 30 minutes while allowing you to work in temperatures from -20 to 55 degrees Celsius.

the smartphone is equipped with quad-core Mediatek MT6737 with a frequency of 1.5 GHz and 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory, expandable to 128 GB using a microSD card. This model is moreover a rear digital camera with a resolution of 13 megapixels (autofocus), a front camera with a resolution of 5 megapixels, Controller Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio, 3G modem and battery with a capacity of up to 5000 mAh enabled technology MediaTek Pump Express Plus.

the new device uses a special energy-saving mode. Sleep mode significantly reduces battery consumption by automatically activate deep sleep mode. Archos Saphir 50 in Poland will be available from October priced at 949 dollars.
