Messenger Users can use the new, gigantic set of emoticons – Facebook announced the official entry. There are now 1500, in addition to these standard, expressing emotions (also redesigned, pictured below) also introduced an icon defining the profession, gender, or interests.

Facebook assumption is this: replace the word simple icon. Hence the idea to introduce such a vast collection of them.

Unfortunately, the changes have not been accepted very positively. On the web, you can find evidence that the new projects are of extremely bad emotions. Allegations are different: some icons seem to be simply ugly.

In my opinion, some of the icons are nice. However, there are those that arouse bad feelings. I am not convinced that such a giant database of icons will be easy for quick communication.
Facebook follows the “pictorial trend” – popular applications such as MSQRD or snapchat where the crux of the conversation are processed images, icons, animations. I’m not sure whether this trend will check the application to “traditional text communication,” as would now be called Messenger.
