Microsoft’s browser Edge is the most energy – FrazPC.pl

Choosing a web browser can have a very big impact on the battery life of our laptop and Microsoft decided to prove that his Edge is the most energy efficient.

Thus, the Redmond giant conducted a series of benchmark tests, which showed that its browser enabled the longest playback of video over the Internet and coped better on standardized tests, surfing the web than any of its competitors (including Opera with a new energy-saving mode) with a score of 3 hours better than Chrome when streamowania video on the device Surface Book. So presented the results:

 Microsoft Edge: 7h 22m 7s

 Opera: 6h 18m 33s

 Mozilla Firefox: 5h 9m 30s

 Google Chrome: 4h 19m 50s

Finally giant Redmodn says that Edge achieves up to 36% -53% better than rivals, and what’s more, with the upcoming update Anniversary Update Microsoft promises even better results through greater restrictions and terms of Flash reduce the consumption of resources.

Of course, should approach these results with the appropriate distance, as always, when the tests are carried out by the company concerned. The more that most users do not spend the whole day watching Netflix, a company perhaps not without reason did not give results that show how different browsers deal with standard Internet browsing. Besides, the test platform helped to find its own device in the form of Surface Booka.
