Now is such a time that other companies will brag about its financial results for the previous quarter. Apple already done so, now is the time to Samsung. Of course, also we look forward to the next, although I fear that not everyone can have a reason to be happy – unless customers during the holiday season extremely eager to reach for products from all brands. But let’s look at the performances Koreans.
The fourth quarter of 2015 when you consider the total sales, proved to be much better than the same period a year earlier. To Samsung this time managed to gain 0.59 trillion won more. However, despite similar income, Koreans have developed a greater operating profit – 6.14 trillion won. This is about 0.85 trillion won more than the fourth quarter of 2014.
The situation is similar if we take into account the whole 2014 and 2015 years. Although the first of these Samsung recorded revenue totaling EUR 206.21 trillion won (about 5.56 trillion won in more than a year later), the operating profit in 2015 of 1.38 trillion won more than the 2014.
Koreans admitted that in the fourth quarter saw a decline in sales of smartphones, but at the same time praised that – strangely enough – a segment of tablets is great, mainly thanks to the good results achieved by a series of Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab S2.
Samsung realizes that 2016 years would be “difficult” for mobile devices, but nevertheless does not intend to give up and plans to gradually increase sales of its products. At present, very “fierce” competition will be difficult, but not impossible. How he can realize his plans – remains to be seen when we will know the results for the 1st quarter of this year.
