Sales of graphics cards – so bad it was for a long time – Virtual Poland

For several years, the sales of graphics cards is falling, but the second quarter of this year was the worst for 10 years.

In the last quarter of last year, the number of graphics cards sold reached 11.3 million units. The last three months of this year proved to be even worse – the value has fallen below 9.4 million units. Thanks to a chart as published by Jon Peddie Research, we see that the greatest boom in these parts took place in late 2007, when the quarterly sales of graphics cards reached 31.6 million units. Later, it was just worse and there is no indication that this situation will have to change.

As for the market share of the two largest players – Nvidia and AMD – the last company in the second quarter of this year also passed the worst in its history sale. Its shares reached only 18 per cent., While Nvidia practically dominated the market (81.9 percent).
