Europeans prefer contactless transactions – Virtual Poland

In the last quarter of 2014. number of contactless transactions in Europe increased by 174%, and the degree of use by users – about 20%. In the UK and Poland, over 90% of customers paying in this way, is fully satisfied with contactless payments.

 Are much simpler and safer than cash payments.  When it comes to the usability of devices for contactless payments, on average, 73% of respondents in Germany, Poland, Spain and the UK indicated a mobile phone as a convenient solution to make payments. 42% of Poles would consider seriously smartphones contactless payments.

 
 Ideally contactless payments accepted and proven themselves in public transport. In London, millions of customers travel more efficiently and comfortably since Transport for London (TfL – responsible for collective communication), has introduced contactless payments in September 2014. To date, the number of travel by public transport paid for by credit card or proximity device exceeded 40 million, and the payment of this kind represent nearly 12% of the payment type Pay As You Go for travel on public transport. The St. Petersburg, since the introduction of contactless payment option, subway passengers do not have to buy a separate ticket for travel or token.
