End of language barriers? Skype translators live chats – Dziennik.pl

Online Skype can now automatically translate live audio and video conversations. The new program facilitates international communication, those who do not speak foreign languages. This so-called Skype Translator is an experiment. For now, the program decodes the speech only in Spanish and English. Service schoolchildren tested in Mexico and the United States, communicating with each other in their native languages.

The owner of Skype, Microsoft says that the time available languages ​​will be much more. Microsoft adds that Skype has three hundred million users who every day, including messenger spend two billion minutes. Other Internet giants also introduce various types of translations live; example would be a special program from Google, which translates subtitles seen for example by camera smartphones.
