Over 41 km – so is a new record high, from which cast jump with a parachute. The specially designed to suit, 57-year-old Alan Eustace reached a speed of over 1320 km / h. It is thus a man who jumped from the highest point on the earth’s atmosphere.

– It was amazing. You can see the dark depths of the cosmos and the layers of the atmosphere – said after the jump Eustace. He said the 57-year-old, but did not hear the roar when crossing the sound barrier.

In contrast to the jump made by Austrian Felix Baumgartner, a new record was set without the great support of sponsors and with minimal media attention. Unbuckled himself from the balloon, which carried him above the Earth.

The preparations lasted 34 months. Alan Eustace supported the company Stratex (Paragon Space Development Corporation and its Stratospheric Explorer). Stratex working on the suits, which allow exploration of the stratosphere at an altitude of approx. 30 km. Instrumentation of this type will allow future astronauts on a lot, including overcoming the sound barrier.
