Comet C/2013 R1

(Lovejoy) was discovered on September 7, 2013 year by the Australian lovers of astronomy. Reached its maximum splendor in early December. In good conditions, you can see it with the naked eye. Currently, its brilliance is slowly declining, but still there are good conditions for its observation.
– From the observations so hurry, because now we have to deal with dark, bezksi??ycowymi night. In addition, on the celestial sphere comet approaches the sun so the geometric conditions for its observation to worsen – explains dr. Arkadiusz Olech.

In the first days of January C/2013 R1 will be seen on the border of the constellation Hercules and Ophiuchus. About an hour before sunrise comet lights at about 30 degrees above the southeastern horizon.
Information discovery Lovejoy have been overshadowed by the hype caused by a comet ISON, announced on the comet of the century. – Now that we know that ISON was a bust, the comet Lovejoy was the pride of the turn of the year 2013 and 2014 – says Olech.
