CES 2014: curved UHD TVs and OLED "for everyone" - CHIP

Perhaps this situation will change, TCL, Poland, widely known under the brands Thomson and Alcatel, which presents precisely at the fair in Las Vegas their latest TVs. One of them is a 55-inch TV with a screen made in OLED technology, which allows you to display 3D image.

Even more interesting model seems to be a 65-inch TV “Curved UHD”, which as the name suggests has a curved display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Corners of the screen in the case of flat-screen TVs are located further than the center of deforming the edges of the frame and making the viewer sitting centrally in front of the TV display objects on the sides of the screen will appear to be smaller than those in the middle. With curved screen, the picture is more uniform and more akin to the natural field of vision.

manufacturers did not mention what it means for a viewer who is not sitting centrally in front of the TV screen …

addition, TCL at CES presents the 110-inch Ultra HD, made in LCD technology.

if the manufacturer does not reveal plans for the introduction of these models on the market, but we will keep an eye on, because we can expect a fairly attractive price.
