Blow for scientists were sent by the rover Curiosity data on methane. Methane gas is that the Earth is almost exclusively produced by living organisms. NASA experts write in the latest issue of the weekly “Science” that methane on Mars is so small that it is difficult to imagine that live there any specific microorganisms.

“On the other hand, the Earth is, after all these microbes, which produce methane. produce other gases and theoretically such microorganisms may be present on Mars” – says the BBC member of the research team, Dr. Chris Webster. He adds that the Curiosity rover is to explore the red planet in this respect for many years, so the fact that there is life on Mars can not be completely ruled out.
